Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By engaging Central West Technology you agree to the following terms and conditions.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Central West Technology (ABN 13 196 037 865), located at Shop 11/212 Anson Street, Orange NSW 2800. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Service Terms
1.1 Diagnostic Fee
A diagnostic fee of $65 for 30 minutes applies to all repair assessments. This fee is payable upon completion of the diagnostic regardless of whether you proceed with the repair. If you proceed with the repair, the diagnostic fee may be applied toward the total repair cost at our discretion.
1.2 Repair Turnaround Times
We aim to complete most repairs within 1–5 business days. Turnaround times may vary depending on the complexity of the repair, availability of parts, and current workload. We will provide an estimated completion time upon assessment and notify you of any delays as soon as reasonably possible.
Same-day or express repairs may be available upon request and may attract an additional fee.
1.3 Warranty on Repairs
All repairs carried out by Central West Technology are covered by a 12-month warranty on parts and labour, unless otherwise specified in writing at the time of repair. This warranty covers defects in the parts supplied and workmanship performed.
This warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage, liquid damage or misuse after the repair
- Damage caused by third-party repairs or modifications
- Software issues unrelated to the original repair
- Normal wear and tear
- Issues unrelated to the original fault

1.4 Liability Limits
While we take every precaution to protect your device and data, Central West Technology is not liable for:
- Loss of data during repair — we strongly recommend backing up all data before bringing your device in
- Pre-existing damage not identified at the time of booking
- Damage caused by faulty third-party parts where reasonable care was taken in selection
- Any indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from a repair or service
Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair or service provided. Our services come with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
1.5 Data Backup
We strongly recommend that customers back up all data before submitting a device for repair. Central West Technology will take reasonable care to preserve your data but cannot guarantee that data will not be lost during the repair process. We accept no responsibility for data loss.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- Credit and debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
- Bank transfer (EFT)
Payment is due upon completion of the repair or service unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
Payment upfront may be required when parts are not available and need to be ordered.
2.2 Deposits
For repairs requiring the order of specific parts or for custom builds, a deposit of up to 100% of the total quoted price may be required before work commences. Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel after parts have been ordered.
2.3 Quotes and Pricing
All quotes provided are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. We will always provide a quote before commencing work beyond the initial diagnostic. We will not proceed with repairs without your approval of the quoted price.
2.4 Uncollected Devices
If a repaired device is not collected within 30 days of notification that it is ready, we will attempt to contact you again via phone and email. If the device remains uncollected after 60 days, Central West Technology reserves the right to dispose of or sell the device to recover costs, in accordance with the NSW Uncollected Goods Act 1995.
Storage fees of $5 per day may apply after the initial 30-day period.
3. Privacy Policy
3.1 Information We Collect
We collect personal information necessary to provide our services, including:
- Name, phone number and email address
- Device details and fault descriptions
- Payment information (processed securely, not stored)
- Communication records for support purposes
3.2 How We Use Your Information
Your personal information is used solely to:
- Provide repair and support services
- Contact you regarding your device or service
- Process payments and issue receipts
- Meet legal and accounting obligations
3.3 Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We do not sell, trade or share your personal information with third parties except where required by law.

4. Remote Support Terms
4.1 Consent to Remote Access
By initiating a remote support session with Central West Technology, you explicitly consent to our technician accessing your computer remotely. You acknowledge that:
- You are the owner or authorised user of the device
- You are voluntarily granting access by sharing your Session ID
- You can view all activity on your screen during the session
- You can end the session at any time by closing the application
4.2 Data Privacy During Sessions
During a remote support session:
- We only access files and areas of your computer necessary to resolve the issue
- We do not copy, store or transmit your personal files
- We do not retain access to your computer after the session ends
- Sessions are not recorded without your prior consent
4.3 Limitations of Remote Support
Remote support is suitable for software-related issues only. Hardware faults, physical damage and some network issues may require an on-site visit or in-store repair. We will advise you if your issue cannot be resolved remotely.
4.4 Internet Connection
A stable internet connection is required for remote support. Central West Technology is not responsible for session interruptions caused by poor connectivity on the customer's end. Standard service fees apply regardless of connection quality.
5. Website Terms of Use
5.1 Use of This Website
By accessing cwtech.com.au you agree to use the website for lawful purposes only. You must not use this website in any way that causes damage to the website or impairs its availability to other users.
